Three hundred producers

The Diois vineyards cover almost one thousand five hundred hectares, which are shared between three hundred producers.  The Cave de Die Jaillance is the largest cooperative, since it includes almost two hundred and fifty producers.  Other producers have chosen to group themselves together into smaller unites: cooperatives, or common agricultural organisations (GAEC).  Lastly, there are still family-run vineyards, in which the independent wine producers hand down their winemaking skills and knowledge from generation to generation. Some producers have also specialised in organic wine production.
